-
The next step in your setup journey is domain verification.
-
This step is important if you are planning to send out bulk emails from the system or even make use of e-mail automation within the CRM.
-
To set up domain verification, go to Settings, click on Domain Verification, and view the Settings pane.
-
Domain verification allows the CRM system to send emails on behalf of your organization or company using your domain name.
-
Properly authenticated emails are less likely to land in spam folders, so this is an important step to ensure seamless integration.
-
Before we begin, make sure that you own and control your domain.
-
You cannot do domain verification with domains such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail.
-
It needs to be your own company domain.
-
Ensure you also have DNS access.
-
Typically your technical or IT support team will be able to assist with verifying your domain.
-
Let’s start by clicking Add domain and then entering your domain details.
-
As an example, we will use My company.
-
And click Add Domain.
-
After adding your domain, it will show that this domain has not been verified.
-
To e-mail instructions to your technical team or yourself, click on the e-mail Instructions button and enter your e-mail address.
-
Alternatively, you can find the instructions here.
-
After your domain has been verified, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that it was successful and these icons will turn green.
-
This is an example of a domain that has been correctly verified. Everything is correct now.
-
After your domain has been verified, you can make use of bulk e-mail functionality and also send emails with automations.
