Phase 1 Setup #3: Create & Edit Custom Fields

Step by step process:

  1. To add custom fields into your client’s profiles, go into any of your clients.
  2. Here you can see that you have some fields which you can edit and measure who is the responsible manager and also your client’s status.
  3. To add new fields, click Edit Custom fields by right clicking here you’re able to add some custom fields and edit some of your existing fields.
  4. To edit an existing field like your client status, click on the pencil icon, click on Add new field and the new one is created plus you can change the label and colours to whichever you prefer.
  5. Click close, right click and click on Edit custom fields.
  6. You are now able to select your new custom field status.
  7. To add additional fields, you can right click Edit custom fields and here you can add any custom fields that you would like.
  8. So these are all the fields that will carry value and tell you more information about your customers.
  9. In this instance I would like to choose from different field types.
  10. There are multiple field types to choose from.
  11. I would like to know and measure certain things like the client value.
  12. I’m going to choose currency, I’m going to call it client value and the currency will be in rands and I’m going to click add a field.
  13. After I’ve added it, I want to create another one, and I want it to be a date field.
  14. This one is going to be called Start date and add a field.
  15. I want to add a different field with a different field type, perhaps a single choice option which is going to be called location and I’m going to have three different locations to choose from.
  16. I want to add another field called service type or service interested in.
  17. And in this instance perhaps it’s going to be a multiple choice option so that I can select multiple services.
  18. I’m going to call this services interested in and I’m going to choose Tinker Dust, anti hook spray and flying lessons.
  19. These are just examples.
  20. You can add as many as you would like, add a field after you’ve added them.
  21. You can also delete certain custom fields that you do not want and you’re also able to move certain custom fields around.

Right click after you complete, click on edit custom fields, and these are now the fields that are available in all of your client profiles. 23. I’m going to choose the relevant fields for this specific client and the client value is going to be 15,000 Rand. 24. You have now created custom fields and these are available in all of your client profiles on the clients page. 25. If you would like to see those custom fields in these columns, you can click on the three dots and choose Add a column to the right or to the left. 26. Here you can choose the fields that you would like to see. 27. In this case, I would like to see location add another column. 28. I would like to see something different, perhaps services interested in. 29. I’m going to add another one start date and perhaps even another one which would be client value. 30. If you would like to populate all these other ones, you could do that either by going into the client and manually populating them from here, or you can navigate back to your client’s page and fold them in directly from the front end where you can choose all the options that you would like to select. 31. That is how you can edit client fields directly from the front end, and how you’re able to set different columns to show you the data that you are interested in.
