Step by step process:
- To create a new client click Create Client.
- Here you can fill in four mandatory fields, which is the client or company name, the responsible manager which is one of the users that you’ve created, the client status where initially it provides 3 default statuses which you can change at a later stage, and client origin where currently there are no origins available in the system.
- So first we need to create a client origin and we want to create an origin called manual entry because this is how the client is entering the system.
- Go to settings channels, here you have tracking channels.
- This is where you’re able to collect data from various sources and also certain channels which can act as triggers to fire off different automations.
- In this instance we just want to create a basic channel called Manual Entry and set it as an origin.
- To do this, just add a channel, choose one of them, in this case Web Forms and Integrations.
- Select it and give it a name. Create.
- You have now created your first tracking channel, which is a webhook channel.
- However, we are not going to get any information coming to this webhook.
- Therefore, we’re not going to be receiving any data and we’re not going to be running any automation.
- This is just the channel that’s been created which we want to use as an origin channel.
- That means that this will be available when creating clients manually in the system.
- Go to client, let’s create a client.
- Choose a responsible manager.
- Choose a client status.
- It automatically selects manual entry and you can enter contact details.
- Click Create Client.
- You automatically go into the client’s profile and if you navigate back to client, your first client has been created.
